Brief

Firstly, to provide a professional website to help boost sales and provide potential customers with information. Secondly, to create a reservations system allowing for online bookings and payment.

Solution

A stylish layout was produced using photographs of the apartments and surrounds as the main header image - thus helping to give visitors a taste of the apartments instantly.

Information was condensed into concise sections, helping to provide potential customers with just enough reading to grab their attention, yet not overwhelm them.

Finally, I programmed a robust reservations system allowing customers to check whether or not their desired dates are available. If available, they have the option of booking and paying online - after their transaction the calendar is automatically updated to reflect the reserved dates. This was challenging, as the client had a number of pricing schemes based on seasons and length of stay.

The calendar system also contains an administration panel for the client through which they can modify any days in the calendar, view the status of transactions, view customer details and add in any bookings they may have taken offline.

Result

The client now has a website which reflects the modern and professional looking apartments. Furthermore, they have the ability for customers to process their payment and reservations online - helping to cut down their time spent on the phone chasing bookings.
