Brief

The client's existing website was very out-dated and hard to update - a new website with an online administration panel and products database was required, along with the ability to control news and articles. Further, the old website's content needed transferring and revamping.

At a later date, an advanced shopping system was also required to offer products via download, email and post.

Solution

A simple and suitable design was created, with focus paid to creating a very clear, accessible and professional looking website.

An expansive administration system allows the client to control members, site content and news. A detailed products database was created, allowing the client to add significant detail. Various upload scripts allow suitable screenshots and support downloads to be attached to the various products.

Much attention was given to making the content on the new website look far more aesthetically pleasing. Images and graphics were used where possible (such as a world map pinpointing the company's various locations) in order to help the site look more interesting and thus appealing.

This initial work was done within a two week period, over Christmas, which meant that the client got their new website far faster than they would have elsewhere!

In May 2007 an advanced shopping system was created and integrated using PayPal. With automatic transaction validation, the system is able to offer customers products via instant download. The system also contained many other advanced features such as a refund request tool, member transaction area and payment management system (allowing for the addition of expiration dates and dispatch status).

Result

SiR Learning Systems now have a powerful website through which to manage their customer database and products. With the ability to offer their products for purchase online, including by download, they can cut down the time spent on handling orders.
