Spatial Intelligence are based in Fulwood, near Preston, and specialise in consultancy, collection, processing and analysis of key property data to assist organisations – including local government bodies – to help them make the most of their biggest assets, property.
Brief
Provide the company with its first web presence in keeping with its existing corporate branding, which is primarily based around a yellow theme – not normally a colour that works well in an online environment. Provide scope for easy future management of page content and addition of news articles for a variety of end users.
Solution
By creatively using two tones of yellow for all borders and shading, offset by complimentary dark tangerine and chocolate orange colours in subject headings against a white background, the site takes the selection of traditionally ‘troublesome’ web colours and turns them around to provide a radiance and positivity for its visitors.
Build a robust CMS that can be utilised by multiple end users and prevents the uploading of any content by inexperienced users that would adversely affect the look of the completed site.
Result
Spatial Intelligence have been quick to get to grips with their new site, uploading several items of news content within a matter of hours of the site going live. This is thanks in no small part to the simplicity of the CMS which sets down sensible guidelines to users in terms of image use, length of content, etc, in order to create a consistent look to each article.
The site now acts as a powerful marketing tool, designed to help capture visitor data and promote the company's services.
