Brief

A website was required where members could share and track progress through journals and media such as videos.

Solution

The site was designed around its forum, which was fully integrated with the comments system for the site's articles and videos. The forum was split into several relevant areas including a journals area for members to record their progress.

Further, a league table was designed which allows members to add their weightlifting totals to the site. This was integrated with the forum and member profiles.

The site's advanced video script helps to display the club's numerous videos - members have the option of categorising them, saving them into their 'favourites area' in their member profiles and of commenting on them.

A detailed administration system allows the club to control all aspects of the site, meaning frequent updates are no problem.

An arty header was used for the site's layout, with a lot of focus given to help echo the club's sentiments of enjoying their sport and having fun at the same time.

Result

The website is starting to attract a strong member base and readership, in particular the North West weightlifting community. This gives the site the potential to expand in the future in terms of selling relevent equipment and services.
